Adult CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator)  Class Code:  32411

In this 4.5 hour course you will learn how to perform CPR on Adults (persons 8 and older), PLUS you will learn how to operate an AED (automated external defibrillator). Persons in sudden cardiac arrest are often experiencing irregular heart rhythms. An AED analyzes a person’s heart rhythm and prompts a lay rescuer to deliver an electrical shock to restore a normal heartbeat. Today’s units are designed to be fool proof, and will not shock a person unless a shockable heartbeat is present. The units are becoming more and more common in malls, airports, hotels, churches, and any common gathering area.
